We have identified and resolved an issue with the improper access of a small number of user accounts. All funds are safe, no withdrawals or transfers took place, and we have disabled these accounts. We are currently notifying any affected users.
We have no reason to believe this is due to a security issue related to BitMEX, and our early investigation suggests this is likely to be the result of some user passwords being compromised elsewhere.
As is best practice, we remind all users to maintain robust account security measures across any online account through using unique and strong passwords, and enabling 2FA.
